A tri-band 4x4 downtilt omni ceiling antenna with cabled RP-SMA connectors for wireless networks
The HPE AP-ANT-340 is a downtilt omnidirectional antenna designed for ceiling mounting in commercial wireless networks. It supports tri-band operation with a 4x4 MIMO configuration for high-density environments. The unit terminates in RP-SMA connectors for direct attachment to compatible access points. It is built for indoor deployment where wide, even coverage is required.
This antenna suits IT teams planning office, education or hospitality Wi-Fi installations that need consistent downward signal distribution. Buyers who require wall-mount or outdoor-rated hardware should look at something else. Installations lacking RP-SMA antenna ports on the access point cannot use this model. It is not intended for point-to-point bridging or long-range directional links.
The four RP-SMA pigtail cables are the single specification that decides compatibility with your access point. Verify that the radio provides exactly four RP-SMA antenna ports before purchasing. No other mounting hardware or adapter is included in the package. Mismatched connectors will prevent the antenna from functioning.

The S1F82A is a downtilt omni ceiling antenna; it mounts flush to the ceiling tile or surface using the supplied hardware, ensuring the RP-SMA cables route cleanly above the tile before connecting to the access point.
The passive antenna element needs no firmware or power; periodic visual inspection for dust on the radome and checking that the RP-SMA connectors remain tight is the only upkeep.
The fixed downtilt omni pattern directs signal downward; capacity limits come from the connected access point radio, not the antenna itself, so the antenna adds no throughput ceiling.
