Product Identity

The RUCKUS WIRELESS E40G-QSFP-QSFP-P-010 is a 40GE QSFP+ to QSFP+ passive direct attach cable measuring one metre. It suits network administrators linking switches, routers or servers inside a rack where a short copper interconnect is preferred over optical modules.

Pre-Installation Checks

Verify that both endpoints present QSFP+ ports rated for 40GE passive copper operation. Confirm the one metre reach matches the physical spacing between the devices and that the rack layout allows the cable bend radius without strain.

Upgrade Context

This cable replaces an active optical assembly or a longer passive link when the port count and distance allow a direct copper connection. The jump is worthwhile when latency, power draw and cost must be minimised for intra-rack 40GE links.
