  • Shreds 19 to 20 sheets per pass for fast batch processing
  • 1/4 inch strip cut meets Level 2 security requirements
  • 4 inch throat accepts wide documents without folding
  • 6 gallon waste bin reduces emptying frequency

Ideal for small-office paper disposal

The HSM 1911 Securio C18s strip-cut shredder handles 19 to 20 sheets per pass at a speed of 8.66 feet per minute. A 9.4-inch throat accepts standard documents while the 6.6-gallon bin holds the resulting 1/4-inch strips. It also processes staples, paper clips and credit cards for convenient mixed-media destruction.

Straightforward set-up with jam awareness

Place the unit on a level surface, plug it in and feed paper centrally to engage the auto-start sensor. Overloading beyond the 20-sheet rating is the most common cause of jams; if the motor stops, reverse the feed and remove the excess before continuing. Credit-card thickness is supported, but thicker plastics or folded metal can stall the cutters.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 1911 is shredding at the rated 8.66 FPM after setup?

Feed a measured sheet and time the pass; the paper should clear the 9.4" throat in roughly seven seconds if the motor is running at the specified 8.66 FPM.

What comes in the box with the C18s and what must I buy separately?

The shredder unit includes the 6.6 gal waste bin; shredder oil and replacement bags are not included and must be purchased separately.
