Compact 6 ft flat-plug extension

The huanchain HUANCHAIN-14G-6FT-FLAT is a 14 AWG three-prong grounded cord rated for 15 A at 125 V AC and 1875 W. Its low-profile flat plug lets furniture sit flush against walls, making it practical for home offices, entertainment centres or outdoor areas where space behind sofas, desks or cabinets is limited.

Thermal and electrical safety

The 14-gauge conductors are tested to an overload of 2812 W (1.5 times the rated load) with qualified temperature rise, and the vinyl jacket is rated for 80 °C high-temperature resistance, flame retardancy and aging resistance. Each unit passes a 2500 V high-voltage test before shipment, and the strain-relieved plug end survives 65000 bending cycles without breakage, keeping heat and wear in check during normal use.

Build integration and limits

The SJTW jacket provides waterproof and anti-corrosion performance for indoor or outdoor routing, while the flat plug geometry frees up corner outlets and tight gaps behind furniture. The cord supplies a single grounded receptacle; it does not add extra outlets, surge protection or higher amperage capacity, so builders needing multiple sockets or a higher current rating will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

How do I install the flat plug in a tight space behind furniture?

Push the low-profile flat plug fully into the wall outlet so it sits flush, then route the 6 ft SJTW cord along the baseboard; the flat profile lets sofas or desks sit closer to the wall without bending the prongs.

What maintenance will this 14 AWG extension cord need over time?

Inspect the vinyl jacket and strain relief periodically for cuts or cracking, especially after outdoor use; the cord is rated for 65000 bend cycles and passed a 2500 V high-voltage test at the factory.

What is the first limit I will hit if I run a continuous load on this cord?

The 15 A / 1875 W rating at 125 V is the continuous limit; the overload test at 1.5 times rated power (2812 W) checks temperature rise at 80 °C, so sustained loads above 1875 W will trip a breaker or overheat the conductors.
