Two-Gang Aluminum Box with Five Outlets

This two-gang electrical box provides five 1/2-inch NPT outlets in a corrosion-resistant aluminum housing. The gray protective coating adds durability for wet locations. It includes closure plugs and a ground screw for immediate installation. UL listed for safety compliance.

Included Closure Plugs and Ground Screw

The bundled closure plugs seal unused outlets to maintain the enclosure's weather resistance. A ground screw is also supplied to simplify bonding during wiring. These accessories reduce the need for separate purchases on site.

1/2-Inch NPT Thread Limitation

The 1/2-inch NPT threads restrict conduit or fitting choices to that specific trade size. Installers requiring larger or smaller pipe threads must use adapters not provided with this box. The five outlet count is fixed and cannot be expanded.

Questions about this item

Will the closure plugs need replacing if they crack from sun exposure?

The box includes closure plugs for unused outlets; they are part of the UL-listed assembly and should be inspected periodically, replacing any that show UV damage or no longer seal the opening.

What is the fill limit before I must upsize the box?

The 2-inch deep aluminum body provides a fixed internal volume; the five 1/2-inch NPT outlets set the maximum conduit count, so exceeding the listed outlet quantity requires a larger enclosure.

Does the aluminum get hot enough to burn skin when circuits run continuously?

Aluminum dissipates heat efficiently and the gray coating adds corrosion resistance; under normal rated loads the surface stays warm but not hazardous, though local codes may require a protective barrier in accessible areas.
