A watertight three-phase locking plug rated 20 A at 250 V AC with IP69K ingress protection and nickel-plated brass contacts
The Hubbell HBL26W75 is a NEMA L15-20P watertight locking plug rated for 20 amps at 250 volts AC. It serves industrial facilities, generator hook-ups and outdoor equipment that require a secure three-phase, four-wire connection resistant to water and dust ingress.
This plug replaces non-locking or lower-rated connectors that can loosen under vibration or fail in wash-down environments. The step up is justified when IP69K protection, nickel-plated brass contacts and a thermoplastic elastomer body are required for chemical resistance and continuous operation from minus forty to sixty degrees Celsius.
The strain-relief nut accepts cable diameters from point three seven five to point eight seven five inches, covering cord sizes from sixteen-three SJ up to ten-five S. It handles the specified amperage and voltage within the rated temperature range, while the UL-listed Type 4, 4X, 12, 6 and 6P enclosure seals against high-pressure spray and temporary submersion.

The plug accommodates cable diameters from 0.375 in to 0.875 in, suitable for wire sizes from 16/3 SJ minimum to 10/5 S maximum.
Tighten the strain relief nut onto the cable jacket to activate the sealing mechanism; the common error is leaving the nut loose, which breaks the watertight seal.
The nickel-plated brass contacts and blades may wear or corrode over time, and the thermoplastic elastomer body can degrade after prolonged exposure to the -40°C to +60°C operating range.
