Hubbell HBL2743 Locking Connector

The Hubbell HBL2743 is a L17-30R locking connector rated for 30 amps and 600 volts. It serves installers and facility managers who need a secure, twist-lock power connection for fixed equipment or temporary distribution. The Insulgrip design suits industrial and commercial environments where reliable engagement is required.

Ribbed nylon housing and cord grip

Ribbed nylon housing provides a secure grip and impact and chemical resistance. Superior cord grip design protects terminations from excess strain. Clear, funnel shaped wire entry for ease of termination. Integral dust shield protects wiring chamber from dust or contaminants.

Twist-lock mounting and daily use

The twist-lock mechanism ensures the connector resists accidental disconnection under vibration or cable pull. Ribbed surfaces give a firm hold when mating or unmating by hand. The dust shield keeps the wiring chamber clean in dusty job-site conditions. The device is new and ready for installation.

Questions about this item

Will the ribbed nylon housing on the HBL2743 need replacement after heavy use?

The ribbed nylon housing resists impact and chemicals, so it does not require scheduled replacement under normal conditions.

What stops the HBL2743 from handling more than 30 A continuously?

The connector is rated for 30 A at 600 V, and exceeding that current is the first limit reached under sustained load.

Does the HBL2743 generate noticeable heat when carrying 30 A all day?

The integral dust shield and superior cord grip keep terminations secure, allowing the connector to run at its 30 A rating without excess heat buildup.
