Watertight locking plug rated 30 A at 125/250 V AC with screw terminals for cables 0.375–1 in. diameter
The Hubbell HBL28W08 is a straight, non-NEMA locking plug rated for 30 A at 125/250V AC. Its thermoplastic elastomer housing provides chemical and impact resistance while maintaining a watertight seal. Designed for industrial environments, it accepts cable diameters from .375 in to 1 in via screw terminals. The yellow housing ensures high visibility on job sites.
This plug features three poles and three blades in a polarized design for secure single-phase connections. The standard wiring style uses screw terminals that clamp conductors firmly, reducing the risk of loose connections under vibration. Watertight construction prevents moisture ingress that can cause corrosion or short circuits in outdoor or wash-down areas. No additional sealing accessories are required for the rated protection.
Rated at 30 A and 125/250V AC, the device handles large portable generators, welders, and industrial machinery. The 1 in maximum cable diameter accommodates heavy-gauge cords needed for long runs or high inrush currents. It is not suited for applications requiring NEMA-standard pinouts or voltages outside the 125/250V AC range. The single-phase design limits use to compatible distribution systems.
