Hubbell KILLARK X17 Conduit Body

The Hubbell KILLARK X17 is a Form 7 conduit outlet body with a 1/2 inch hub. It is built from iron with a gray powder-coated finish for durability in electrical installations. This component suits electricians running IMC or RMC conduit systems. It provides a 4 cubic inch body capacity for wire splices and connections.

Threaded Multi-Angle Connection Limits

The body uses a threaded connection orientation that allows multi-angle routing for IMC and RMC raceways. Its flat back design mounts flush against surfaces while the 1/2 inch trade size restricts use to matching conduit dimensions. Installers must match the hub size exactly to maintain code compliance and mechanical integrity.

4 Cubic Inch Capacity Decides Fit

The 4 cu in internal volume determines how many conductors can be safely housed inside. Exceeding this fill limit violates electrical codes and creates heat hazards. Buyers who need more wiring space must select a larger conduit body. This capacity figure is the primary specification for choosing the correct enclosure.

Questions about this item

Which compatible cover should I select for this X17 conduit body?

Use the 170G cover, which is the compatible cover listed for this body style.

What does the 4 cu in body capacity mean when I am pulling conductors?

It limits the total conductor fill to 4 cubic inches, so size and count your wires to stay within that volume.

How does the 1/2 in threaded hub affect the conduit types I can use?

The 1/2 in threaded hub accepts IMC and RMC conduit of the same trade size for a secure connection.
