Workbench power strip

The Hubbell PT153112P outlet strip provides six NEMA 5-15R receptacles on a 12-inch centre spacing. A single illuminated rocker switch controls all outlets from the 5-15P plug. The 6-foot 14 AWG cord carries 15 A at 125 V AC. Screw-through-base or clip mounting suits workbenches and cabinets.

Replaces basic multi-outlet extensions

Builders who need individual outlet switching or surge protection will not find those features here. The strip adds a master on-off control and wider outlet spacing for transformer blocks compared with un-switched units. Medical-facility use is not permitted.

Sustained load behaviour

The 14 AWG conductors and 15 A rating support continuous operation at full capacity without derating. The PVC housing and three-conductor cord maintain temperature rise within NEMA limits during extended runs. No power indicator means the switch position is the only visual confirmation of live status.

Questions about this item

Does the 12 in. outlet centre distance fit standard workbench cut-outs?

The outlets are spaced 12 in. apart on a single row, so the strip matches typical 12 in. on-centre bench openings.

Which mounting method is easier — the screw-through base or the supporting clip?

Both are supplied; the screw-through base gives a permanent fix while the clip allows tool-free removal, so choose based on whether you need portability.

When should the 14 AWG cord be inspected or replaced?

Check the 6 ft 14 AWG cord periodically for cuts, abrasion or heat damage; replace it if the insulation is compromised or the plug blades become loose.
