Cable Connector 2711

The Raco 2711 is a die-cast zinc connector designed to join nonmetallic sheathed cable or oval SE and USE cable to a box enclosure. Its two-screw saddle includes an extra lip that closes the unused portion of the opening. The fitting has a 1.200 length and a 1/2" MNPT thread. It is supplied new for residential and commercial wiring tasks.

Electrical Installers

This connector suits electricians terminating NM-B, SE or USE cable into a knockout using a standard two-screw clamp. It is not for armoured cable, conduit systems or installations requiring a compression or set-screw fitting. Buyers needing a larger trade size or a different thread type should select another model.

1/2" MNPT Thread

The single specification that determines fit is the 1/2" male NPT thread, which must match the knockout or hub on the enclosure. If the box opening calls for a different thread standard or trade size, this connector will not mount correctly.

Questions about this item

Which Raco 2711 connector size should I choose for my cable?

The Raco 2711 is a single model with a 1.200 length and 1/2" MNPT thread; select it when your NM sheathed or oval SE/USE cable matches that trade size.

What does the 1.200 length mean when the connector is installed?

The 1.200 length is the overall body dimension; it determines how far the connector extends into the box enclosure and the cable clamp reach.

How does the 1/2" MNPT interface limit the cable types I can use?

The 1/2" MNPT thread fits standard 1/2" knockout openings and accepts NM sheathed or oval SE/USE cables sized for that trade designation.
