Laser distance meter for site work

The Huepar S120-US measures distances up to 395 feet with ±1/16-inch accuracy. A built-in digital tilt sensor adds ±1° angle data for indirect height and slope calculations. Bluetooth connects the tool to the free Huepar app for unit switching, reference-point setting, floor-plan drafting and unlimited data grouping. Two 1200 mAh NiMH cells power the device via USB-C.

IP54 rating handles dust and splashes

The sealed enclosure resists jobsite dust and water splashes from any direction. A backlit 2-inch LCD stays readable in bright sun or dim interiors without extra lighting. At 180 grams the unit adds negligible weight to a tool belt. The red Class 2 laser (490–560 nm, <1 mW) remains visible across the full 395-foot range.

Sustained layout tasks stay accurate

Continuous angle feedback prevents cumulative error when chaining multiple shots across a floor plan or fence line. The app logs every reading instantly, so long sessions produce a complete, exportable record without manual transcription. NiMH chemistry delivers consistent voltage through a full day of measuring, and USB-C recharging restores capacity between shifts.

Questions about this item

How do I install the two 1200mAh NiMH batteries and which step do people get wrong?

Slide the battery cover off, insert both NiMH cells matching the polarity marks, then close the cover until the buckle clicks — the step most people miss is seating both cells fully before snapping the latch.

What maintenance or replacement will the S120-US need later?

Recharge the two 1200mAh NiMH batteries via the Type-C cord when the LCD dims; the laser diode and angle sensor are sealed to IP54 and need no user service.

What limit shows up first during sustained measuring out to 395 feet?

The ±1/16-inch accuracy spec and the Class 2 laser output (<1 mW at 490560 nm) remain stable; battery runtime is the first practical limit on long sessions.
