Hyper Cyber Ultra X Gaming Desktop

The Hyper Cyber Ultra X is a gaming desktop built around an Intel Core i7-14700K processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card with 16GB GDDR6 memory. It includes 32GB DDR5-6400 memory and a 4TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe solid state drive. The system ships with Windows 11 Home installed and is powered by a 1000W 80+ Gold power supply with liquid cooling.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Liquid cooling and a 1000W 80+ Gold power supply support the Intel Core i7-14700K at its 5.50GHz turbo frequency and the RTX 5080 during extended gaming sessions. The 32GB DDR5-6400 memory maintains bandwidth for multitasking while the 4TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive delivers consistent read speeds for level streaming. Windows 11 Home manages background tasks without interrupting foreground performance.

PCIe 4.0 NVMe Storage Limits

The 4TB M.2-2280 drive uses a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, so its maximum throughput is bounded by that standard rather than newer revisions. Sequential speeds will plateau at the PCIe 4.0 ceiling, which is sufficient for current game assets and application loads. Builders who need higher sustained write endurance or PCIe 5.0 bandwidth should verify motherboard compatibility before upgrading the storage.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the liquid-cooled i7-14700K and RTX 5080 run under sustained load from the 1000W 80+ Gold PSU?

The system uses a liquid cooler for the 3.40GHz base, 5.50GHz boost CPU and a 1000W 80+ Gold power supply, which together manage thermals and power draw for the 28 MB L2 and 33 MB L3 cache processor alongside the graphics card during extended sessions.

What display cable and monitor input do I need for the GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR6 output?

The RTX 5080 provides modern display outputs; you will need a compatible monitor with a matching input such as DisplayPort or HDMI and the appropriate cable, neither of which is included with the desktop.

Will my current PCIe 3.0 M.2 SSD work as a secondary drive in the MSI PRO Z790-A MAX WIFI motherboard?

The motherboard includes M.2 slots supporting PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe; a PCIe 3.0 M.2 NVMe drive will function at its rated speed when installed in an available slot.
