Built for long sessions

The Cloud II headset uses memory foam ear cushions and a padded leatherette headband to reduce pressure during extended play. A durable aluminum frame resists daily knocks while keeping the overall weight at .70 lb. The closed circumaural cups provide passive noise cancellation so outside sounds stay out.

Wired connectivity and audio output

A 3.5 mm jack and USB connector give stereo sound on consoles and mobile devices, while the USB link enables hardware-driven 7.1 virtual surround sound on PC and Mac. The 53 mm drivers deliver a frequency response of 10 to 23 kHz at 98 dB sensitivity. The detachable microphone carries a sensitivity of -42 dBV and is certified for TeamSpeak and Discord.

The comfort fit decides

Buyers who need a lighter or looser clamp force may find the snug circumaural seal too firm after several hours. The 3.28 ft cable limits distance from the controller or USB port, so setups that require more reach will need an extension.

Questions about this item

How do I switch between the 3.5 mm jack and the USB dongle on the Cloud II?

Plug the 3.5 mm connector directly into the controller or device for stereo sound; use the USB control box on a PC or Mac to enable the 7.1 virtual surround feature.

Which parts of the Cloud II wear out first and can be swapped?

The memory-foam ear cushions and the detachable noise-cancelling microphone are the only user-replaceable components listed for this headset.

At what volume level does the 98 dB sensitivity of the 53 mm drivers risk distortion during long sessions?

The 98 dB S.P.L. at 1 kHz rating means the drivers reach high loudness with little power; sustained listening at maximum output may cause audible distortion before the hardware overheats.
