Designed for comfort and competitive audio

The HyperX Cloud II is a wired circumaural gaming headset with 53 millimetre drivers and a hardware-driven 7.1 virtual surround sound card. Memory foam ear cushions and a padded leatherette headband are built for long sessions, while the durable aluminium frame resists daily wear. A detachable noise-cancelling microphone is TeamSpeak and Discord certified for clear voice chat.

Check your connection and platform needs

The headset connects through a USB sound card that delivers 7.1 surround on PC and Mac, and a 3.5 millimetre four-pole jack for stereo use. A 3.28 foot cable attaches to the sound card with a 6.56 foot extension included. Xbox One requires the Microsoft stereo adapter which is not supplied. PS4, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices operate in stereo only.

Bundled accessories expand fit and control

An extra set of velour ear pads is included so you can swap materials for comfort or isolation. The inline USB sound card adds a hardware volume dial, microphone mute toggle and the 7.1 surround processor. Echo cancellation and approximately 20 dBa ambient noise attenuation are handled by the sound card, not the headset alone.

Questions about this item

Does the HyperX Cloud II include both leatherette and velour ear pads, or do I need to buy the second set separately?

The box contains memory foam ear pads covered in leatherette plus an extra set of velour ear pads, so nothing extra is required.

Should I choose the USB 7.1 version or the plain 3.5 mm stereo version for my PC?

The Cloud II uses a USB sound card that enables 7.1 virtual surround on PC and Mac; the 3.5 mm jack provides stereo only on consoles and mobile.

What does the 53 mm driver size actually deliver when I am gaming?

The 53 mm neodymium drivers produce a 15 Hz to 25 kHz frequency response for detailed in-game audio cues.
