Wired headset with USB-C and USB-A cable

The Razer Kraken V4 X is a wired gaming headset built around 40 mm Razer TriForce drivers that deliver 7.1 surround sound across PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Mac, Android and iOS. A convertible cable ends in both USB-C and USB-A connectors, so the single headset covers every listed platform without an extra adapter. The retractable HyperClear cardioid microphone tucks away when not needed.

40 mm TriForce drivers with 7.1 surround

The 40 mm driver unit uses a three-part diaphragm to separate highs, mids and lows for clearer positional audio. The headset presents a 32 ohm impedance and 96 dB sensitivity at 1 kHz, with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Razer’s 7.1 surround processing is applied over the USB connection, giving compatible games and software a virtual surround stage without additional hardware.

Lightweight frame with hybrid memory-foam cushions

At 0.68 lbs the headset stays light during long sessions, while hybrid fabric and leatherette memory-foam ear cushions seal against ambient noise and reduce pressure on the ears. The closed-back design and snug fit provide passive isolation rather than active cooling, so heat build-up is managed by the breathable fabric surface. Power for the Chroma RGB lighting and audio processing comes entirely from the USB bus, with no external power supply required.
