A 2.5 inch SATA internal SSD with 480GB capacity delivering up to 560 MBps read and 530 MBps write speeds
The HyperX Savage SHSS3B7A/480G is a 2.5-inch internal solid-state drive with a 480 GB capacity and a SATA III interface. It uses a Phison PS3110-S10 controller to deliver sequential reads up to 560 MBps and writes up to 530 MBps. Random 4 KB performance reaches 92,000 IOPS read and 89,000 IOPS write. The drive is rated for 1,000,000 hours MTBF.
The 2.5-inch form factor and slim 7 mm height allow installation in most notebooks, desktops and HTPC builds that accept a standard SATA drive. The SATA III connection requires only a compatible motherboard port and a SATA power cable. Low idle power of 0.39 W and active draw of 1.4 W read or 4.35 W write keep thermal load modest.
Sequential write speeds hold at up to 530 MBps during prolonged transfers rather than dropping after a short burst. The quad-core, 8-channel controller maintains consistent random IOPS as the drive fills. Operating temperature range of 0 °C to 70 °C and vibration resistance of 2.17 G ensure reliability during continuous workloads.
