1965 Crown Firecoach limited edition

This 1/50 scale diecast model replicates the 1965 Crown Firecoach used by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. It is an officially licensed collectible limited to 2500 pieces worldwide. The replica is aimed at adult hobbyists and collectors who value authentic fire-apparatus detail. It arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging.

Sustained display presence

The model features a detailed exterior with real rubber tires and true-to-scale proportions throughout. Constructed from diecast metal with some plastic parts, it measures approximately 6.25 inches long, 2 inches wide and 2.5 inches high. It does not have any openings, preserving its finished appearance over long-term display. The piece ships in a plastic display showcase for protection.

Upgrade from mass-market replicas

Collectors moving up from generic toy fire engines gain a numbered limited edition with officially licensed LACFD "Emergency!" series markings. The jump is worth it when authenticity, low production numbers and display-ready packaging matter more than play features. Buyers who need opening doors, functioning lights or a larger scale should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the diecast model generate any noise, heat or draw power when displayed continuously?

No — it is a static 1/50 scale diecast replica with no moving parts, electronics or power source, so it runs completely silent and cool.

What additional items are required to display this fire engine model?

Nothing extra is needed; the model arrives in its original unopened box inside a fitted plastic display showcase ready for shelf placement.

Will the 6.25-inch length fit alongside older 1/50 scale diecast vehicles in the same cabinet?

Yes — at 1/50 scale it matches the proportions of other 1/50 diecast pieces, so it lines up consistently with existing models.
