Strips 14 to 10 AWG solid and stranded wire with precision mil-spec die-type blades
The Ideal 45-176 Stripmaster Wire Stripper is a precision hand tool designed for electricians and technicians who strip solid and stranded wires from 14 to 10 AWG. It uses Mil-Spec die-type blades to deliver clean, accurate stripping for Type E PTFE insulation rated at 600V. The 6-1/2 inch overall length and dipped plastic handles provide comfortable control during repetitive tasks.
This stripper handles only wire gauges between 14 and 10 AWG, so it cannot process smaller or larger conductors without changing blades. The tool is restricted to strip-only functions and requires a separate accessory if tethering is needed for safety compliance. It meets military standards including MIL-W-16878/4 and MIL-W-227859/11/12/22/23 for specific wire types.
The adjustable automatic mechanism and dipped grips reduce fatigue when processing hundreds of 600V PTFE wires per shift. The included grit pad helps maintain blade performance on tough insulation. Buyers needing to strip coaxial cables, fiber optics, or wire gauges outside the 14-10 AWG window should select a different tool.
