Mobile File Chest

The IdeaStream Vaultz VZ00307 is a locking mobile file chest designed to store and transport letter or legal-size hanging folders. Built-in metal rails support both sizes, and a chrome label holder on the front helps identify contents at a glance. Double combination locks secure the lid for confidential documents.

Who This Suits

Offices and mobile professionals who need HIPAA-compliant security for sensitive paperwork while moving between locations will benefit from the telescoping handle and wheels. Buyers who require fire-rated protection or waterproof sealing should look at specialised safes instead.

Capacity and Headroom

The chest measures 15.50 by 17.50 by 14.50 inches and accepts standard letter and legal hanging files on its internal rails. It handles high-volume daily filing and transport, but runs out of space for oversize binders or bulk archive boxes that exceed the internal dimensions.

Questions about this item

Do I need to buy hanging file folders separately to use the VZ00307 chest?

Yes, the built-in metal rails accept letter or legal-size hanging folders, which are not included with the chest.

Will my existing letter-size folders fit the 15.50" x 17.50" x 14.50" interior alongside legal-size folders?

The rails are designed to hold either letter or legal hanging files, so your current letter-size folders will fit without modification.

How can I verify the double combination locks are securing the lid properly after I set the codes?

Close the lid, scramble both dials, then attempt to lift the latch; it should remain fastened until the correct combinations are re-entered.
