Four-computer dual-monitor KVM

This IHDAPP 402DP switch lets four desktops or laptops share one keyboard, one mouse and two DisplayPort monitors. It provides four upstream DisplayPort and USB 3.0 connections plus two downstream monitor ports and three extra USB 3.0 ports for peripherals. Audio microphone output is also included. A DC 12 V power adapter, four USB 3.0 cables and a wired remote button are supplied.

Sustained 8K60 operation

The unit maintains dual-monitor output up to 8K at 60 Hz continuously, provided each connected computer’s graphics card can drive that resolution. Downward compatibility covers 4K at 60 Hz and lower resolutions for extended, mirrored or spliced display modes. Push-button and wired remote switching change the active source without interrupting power to the USB hub or audio path.

Pre-purchase checklist

Verify that every source computer has two DisplayPort outputs and supports dual-display or multi-display operation; single-output systems cannot use the dual-monitor feature. Confirm each monitor accepts a DisplayPort input at the desired resolution. Ensure the DC 12 V adapter can reach a mains socket near the planned installation.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 12 V adapter draw when the 402DP runs four computers and two 8K monitors all day?

The unit ships with a DC 12 V power adapter; total consumption depends on the connected computers and monitors, not on the switch itself.

Which cables and ports must my four computers already provide to use the dual-monitor 8K@60 Hz switching?

Each computer needs two DisplayPort outputs and one USB 3.0 port; the box includes four DP-plus-USB 3.0 cable sets for those connections.

Will my older 4K@60 Hz DisplayPort monitors work with the 402DP's 8K@60 Hz outputs without manual scaling?

Yes — the switch is downward compatible, so 4K@60 Hz and lower resolutions pass through automatically.
