Dual-computer dual-monitor KVM

The IHDAPP KC-202DH connects two computers to two monitors with a single keyboard, mouse and four USB 3.0 peripherals. It supports resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz, plus lower refresh rates down to 30 Hz. Switching is handled by front-panel buttons or the included wired desktop controller. The unit requires no external power supply for typical operation.

Ports and cables to verify

Each computer must provide one HDMI output, one DisplayPort output and one USB-A port for the supplied cables. Both monitors need compatible HDMI or DisplayPort inputs. The host systems must support multi-screen output so that extend and mirror modes function correctly. Video cables must be connected to matching input and output pairs without crossing them.

Bundled accessories and their effect

Two USB-A cables link the computers to the switch for keyboard, mouse and peripheral sharing. The wired desktop controller lets you place the main unit out of sight while keeping switching within reach. A user manual explains the plug-and-play setup for Windows, Mac OS and Linux. No driver installation or additional power adapter is included in the package.

Questions about this item

Which cables come in the box and what else do I need to connect two computers and two monitors?

The package includes the KVM switch, two USB-A cables, the desktop controller and the manual. You must supply two HDMI cables, two DisplayPort cables and two more USB-A cables — one set per computer — to get both video channels and USB data working.

My monitors run at 4K 144 Hz and 8K 60 Hz — will this switch handle both at the same time?

Yes. The switch supports 8K at 60 Hz and is backward compatible with 4K at 144 Hz, 120 Hz, 60 Hz and 30 Hz. Actual output depends on your graphics cards, monitors and the cables you use.

What does the 5 Gbps USB 3.0 rating mean when I plug in a fast external SSD?

The four USB-A ports share a 5 Gbps link, so a single SSD can reach that speed while it is the only active device. If you run multiple drives or other peripherals at once they split the bandwidth.
