10-pack Cat6 shielded patch cables

This ten-piece set supplies one-foot shielded Cat6 patch cables for short rack or desk connections. Each cable uses 26 AWG stranded bare copper conductors with double shielding — foil around every pair plus an overall braid — and gold-plated shielded RJ45 plugs. The moulded snagless boots protect the latch during repeated insertion and removal.

Shielding, materials and compliance

Double shielding and bare copper construction keep alien crosstalk low and meet the proposed Cat6A channel requirements of TIA/EIA-568-B.2-10, ISO/IEC 11801, CENELEC EN 50173 and IEEE 802.3 an. The cables are UL listed and RoHS compliant, with 50 micron gold contacts that resist corrosion in normal office or data-centre environments.

Supported applications and distance limits

Qualified for frequencies up to 500 MHz, the cables support 10GBASE-T over the full 100 metre channel as well as 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 10BASE-T, ATM at 155 and 622 Mbps, Token Ring at 4 and 16 Mbps, 100VG-AnyLAN and 100 Mbps TP-PMD. They are not suited for runs that exceed the 100 metre channel limit or for installations requiring unshielded or solid-conductor cable.
