iMBAPrice Cat5e Ethernet Cable 7 ft Gray

SKU CH-SBGW-M7F27

A 7-foot Cat5e patch cable with moulded boots and RJ-45 connectors for 10 and 100 Mbps networks

  • Product typeCable
  • 7 ft length connects devices across a desk
  • Cat5e rating supports 10 and 100 Mbps networks
  • Molded boots protect connectors from bending stress
  • 24 AWG stranded conductors keep the cable flexible
  • ETL verified and CMR rated for in-wall runs

Ready for 10 and 100 Mbps networks

This Cat5e patch cable connects a modem, hub, switch or router using standard RJ-45 plugs. It is built for 10BaseT and 100BaseT environments and carries EIA/TIA ETL verification. The stranded 568B wiring follows the common straight-through pinout.

Handles typical desktop and office traffic

The 24 AWG unshielded twisted-pair conductors support everyday file sharing, web browsing and VoIP at 100 Mbps. Bandwidth runs out when applications demand gigabit throughput or long runs beyond the rated distance. Heavy server replication or 4K streaming will saturate the link.

Riser-rated jacket with moulded strain relief

The CMR-rated grey sheath meets in-wall fire codes for vertical runs between floors. Moulded boots protect the latch tabs from snapping during frequent reconnects. The 7-foot length reaches nearby rack gear without excess slack on a desk.

Questions about this item

Will this 24 AWG Cat5e cable work with my older 10BaseT hub?

Yes, the cable supports 10BaseT and 100BaseT environments, so it will connect to legacy 10 Mbps hubs and switches without issue.

How can I verify the link is running at 100 Mbps after I plug it in?

Check the LED indicators on your router or switch; a solid or blinking 100 Mbps light confirms the cable is negotiating Fast Ethernet speed.

Does the 7 ft gray cable include both RJ-45 connectors, or do I need to buy plugs separately?

The patch cable arrives with RJ-45 connectors already terminated on both ends in a 568B wiring scheme, so no extra plugs or tools are required.
