Fanless mini PC for continuous operation

The Partaker I4 is a compact desktop computer built around an Intel Core i5-4200U processor with 4GB DDR3L memory and a 128GB SSD. It runs Windows 10 Pro and uses a fanless aluminium chassis rated for 24h/7 day uptime. Dual HDMI outputs support two displays. Power draw is 15W to 25W typical.

Suits industrial automation and kiosk roles

This unit fits buyers who need six COM RS232 ports, dual Intel Gigabit LAN, and a wide 100-240V AC input with DC 12V5A supply. It is not for buyers who need Wake-on-LAN on Windows 10, as WOL is supported on Windows 7 only. It also lacks a 2.5-inch drive bay and an internal PCIe slot for add-in cards.

Deciding spec: six COM RS232 ports

The six serial ports are the feature that determines fit for legacy industrial equipment and data-acquisition setups. If your deployment does not require multiple RS232 connections, a simpler mini PC with fewer ports will serve the same compute role.

Questions about this item

How much DDR3L memory can I add later?

The single SO-DIMM slot supports up to 8 GB of DDR3L 1333/1600, so you can replace the installed 4 GB module with an 8 GB one.

What limits continuous operation first, heat or power?

The fanless aluminium chassis is rated for 24/7 use at 15–25 W, so thermal headroom is the practical ceiling rather than the 12 V 5 A supply.

How loud and hot does it get running all day?

With no moving parts it is silent; the case acts as a heatsink and stays warm but within the designed 24/7 temperature envelope.
