Purpose and Fit

This 150W LED flood light delivers 15000 lumens of 6500K white output for large outdoor areas such as parking lots, ball grounds, pathways and yards. It is built for buyers who need broad, high-intensity illumination from a single fixture.

Deciding Specification

The IP66 rating confirms the aluminium and PC housing is sealed against heavy rain and dust, so the unit can stay mounted outdoors year-round without additional weather protection.

Installation Reality

A 2 metre (78.7 inch) mains cable is attached, allowing a direct plug-in connection where a socket is reachable; otherwise an electrician must extend the wiring. The powder-coated aluminium body runs hot during extended use in warm weather, so power should be cut periodically to let it cool.

Questions about this item

How much usable light does 15000 lumens at 6500K actually give on the ground?

The 15000 lm output at 6500K delivers a broad, cool-white wash suitable for yards, parking areas or sports courts; the wide beam angle spreads that flux over a large area so ground-level illuminance will depend on mounting height and aiming.

What does the IP66 rating allow the fixture to withstand in daily outdoor use?

IP66 means the housing is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets from any direction, so rain, hose-down cleaning or wind-driven spray will not penetrate the aluminium and PC enclosure.

What mounting options and clearances does the 2-metre cable and aluminium body require?

The 2 m (78.7 in) attached cable needs a nearby weatherproof socket or junction box; the powder-coated aluminium housing dissipates heat from the 150 W LEDs, so leave free air space around the fins and avoid insulating surfaces when ceiling- or wall-mounting.
