Product Identity

This is a pack of 48 melamine foam cleaning pads designed for household and office indoor maintenance. The sponges use a 2X density formulation that resists tearing while removing stubborn marks. They require only water for activation and contain no added cleaning agents. Buyers who need disinfecting chemicals or heavy degreasing power will not find those functions here.

Upgrade Context

The pads replace standard single-density melamine erasers that wear quickly on rough surfaces. The jump is worth it when cleaning tasks involve textured walls, grout lines or frequent use that destroys thinner sponges. Users who only wipe smooth countertops occasionally will not see a proportional benefit over basic alternatives.

Practical Limits

Melamine foam works by micro-abrasion and can dull glossy finishes, soft plastics or polished metal if pressure is excessive. The material compresses and disintegrates over time, so each pad has a finite lifespan. The product does not remove limescale, rust or baked-on carbonised residues that require acidic or alkaline chemistry.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of each 3.8 × 2.48 × 0.63 inch pad in the 48-count pack?

Each pad measures 3.8 × 2.48 × 0.63 inches (9.7 × 6.3 × 1.6 cm), a size designed for easy grip and the option to cut custom shapes for tight spots.

Do I need to soak the melamine foam pads before the first use, or just dampen them?

Simply add water and squeeze gently until damp; no soaking or cleaning agents are required, and the 2X density foam resists tearing during use.

How many individual pads come in the pack and when should I replace one?

The pack contains 48 pads; replace a pad once it wears down or crumbles, as the melamine material gradually erodes with each cleaning task.
