InFocus IN124 3200-lumen DLP projector

The InFocus IN124 is a new DLP business projector delivering 3200 lumens brightness and a native 1024 x 768 resolution. It supports 1080p HD video input and offers a 4000:1 contrast ratio. Connectivity includes HDMI, VGA, composite, S-Video, RS232 and mini USB ports. Built-in speakers and 24/7 operation capability suit continuous professional use.

Suited for fixed-install presentations.

This projector suits offices, classrooms and venues needing a bright, reliable unit for daily presentations, training sessions or digital signage where XGA resolution is sufficient. The 4.8 lb weight and ceiling-mount support favour permanent installation. Buyers who need a lightweight model for frequent travel or native 1080p and higher resolution for detailed graphics should look at other options.

Native 1024 x 768 XGA resolution

The single specification that decides fit is the native 1024 x 768 XGA resolution. It determines the sharpness of text, spreadsheets and diagrams at standard business viewing distances. If your content requires finer detail or widescreen formatting, this resolution will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

What mounting points does the IN124 use for ceiling installation?

The projector weighs 4.8 lbs and supports ceiling projection, so standard VESA or universal mounts rated for that weight will fit.

How do I connect the IN124 to a laptop, and what step is often missed?

Plug the HDMI cable into the HDMI port and select the correct HDMI input on the projector using the remote; many forget to switch the source.

When will the IN124 lamp need replacement under typical use?

The lamp is rated for up to 4000 hours in standard mode; with daily eight-hour use that means roughly 500 days before a change.
