6-inch heavy-duty angle grinder

The INGERSOLL-RAND M2L100RP106 is a pneumatic angle grinder built for heavy-duty material removal. It delivers 1 hp at a maximum speed of 10,000 RPM and accepts Type 27 wheels with a 6-inch diameter. The tool is designed for professional metalworking and fabrication tasks.

Safety lever and 3/8 NPT air inlet

A safety lever prevents accidental start-up during handling or hose connection. The 3/8-inch NPT female air inlet fits standard industrial air lines without adapters. Extended reach geometry improves access to confined work areas while maintaining control. Variable speed capability lets the operator match RPM to the application.

Upgrades from lower-horsepower grinders

This model replaces smaller grinders that stall under sustained load on thick welds or heavy scale. The jump is worth it when daily grinding time is high and downtime for wheel changes must be minimal. It is not for buyers who need a compact tool for light deburring or occasional home use.

Questions about this item

What air inlet standard does the M2L100RP106 use and what flow does it support?

The grinder has a 3/8 in NPT female air inlet; flow is determined by the compressor and hose, not capped by the tool itself.

What spindle thread and wheel diameter does this angle grinder require?

It uses a 5/8 in.-11 spindle thread and accepts 6 in Type 27 wheels.

How is the safety lever operated and what common mistake should be avoided?

Squeeze the lever to run the tool; releasing it stops the motor. Do not tape or tie the lever down, as that defeats the safety function.
