PCIe Gen4 ReDriver with MCIO 38P
This Innocard add-in card converts an MCIO 38P connector to a PCIe x4 Gen4 interface using a built-in ReDriver. It extends PCIe 4.0 signals at 16 GT/s across 16 differential pairs and includes a PCIe 100 MHz clock buffer for longer cable runs. LEDs indicate link status, WAKE#, CLKREQ# and PERST# signals.
Server and industrial integrators needing remote
Suits builders who require BMC support, out-of-band PERST# reset and SMBus control over extended PCIe links. Not intended for consumer desktops lacking MCIO 38P cabling or server-grade management infrastructure. Buyers without industrial temperature requirements or SMBus addressing needs should look at simpler passive adapters.
Fits a standard PCIe slot
The card draws power from the slot and provides SMBus switch, I/O expander and clock buffer addresses for firmware integration. It frees the system designer from signal-integrity limits on longer traces while preserving Gen4 bandwidth for storage or accelerator add-in cards.

Questions about this item
What slot must my motherboard provide for this PCIe x4 Gen4 add-in card to work?
The card installs in a PCI Express x4 slot that supports Gen4 signalling at 16 GT/s per lane.
Can I use this MCIO 38P gender changer with older PCIe Gen3 cables and backplanes?
The built-in ReDriver extends PCIe 4.0 links; it will also operate at Gen3 speeds, but the ReDriver settings are optimised for 16 GT/s operation.
Which LED tells me the add-in card has powered up and is ready?
LED1 glows solid green when the AIC is ready, confirming the card has completed its power-on sequence.
