PCIe Gen4 U.2 SSD adapter
This Innocard adapter converts a U.2 SFF-8639 solid-state drive to a PCI Express 4.0 x4 slot. It includes hot-plug controllers with dual 12 V eFuse-protected power outputs rated at 6.5 A each. The board is designed and manufactured in Taiwan for server and industrial environments.
Suits managed server and industrial builds
The integrated BMC support, out-of-band PERST# reset and wide temperature range make it a fit for managed server chassis and industrial systems that require remote drive control. Builds without a free PCIe x4 slot, without U.2 drives or without need for hot-plug management will not use the features this card provides.
Dual-port power and extended signal reach
On-board clock buffer, SMBus switch and I/O expander drive longer cable runs to remote U.2 bays. Each 12 V output uses a 32 mOhm NexFET with programmable current limit and thermal shutdown for reliable dual-port operation. The single x4 lane width sets the throughput ceiling for any attached drive.

Questions about this item
Do I need a free PCI Express 4.0 x4 slot on my motherboard to use this adapter?
Yes, the adapter converts a U.2 SSD to a PCI Express 4.0 x4 interface, so an available x4 slot is required.
Will my existing U.2 SSD work with the built-in SMBus switch and I/O expander?
The adapter includes an SMBus switch at address 0x71 and an I/O expander at address 0x41 for PWRDIS control, compatible with standard U.2 drives.
How can I verify the hot-plug power circuits are active after installation?
The dual 12 V hot-plug controllers provide programmable current limits up to 6.5 A with fault alerts; check the system management console for power-good status.
