The Inogeni U-BRIDGE extends USB 2.0 camera and audio signals up to 328.08 ft over a single CAT 5e, 6 or 7 cable. It connects desktop PCs, cameras, microphones, keyboards and other USB peripherals in videoconferencing rooms and AV installations. The unit ships new and includes transmitter and receiver modules with two RJ-45 ports and two USB ports.

USB 2.0 Distance Limits

USB 2.0 signalling is specified for short cables, so the extender converts the signal for transport over category cabling. The link supports full USB 2.0 throughput at 100 m and remains compatible with USB 1.1 devices at 1.1 speed. Signal integrity depends on using certified CAT 5e, 6 or 7 cable; longer runs or lower-grade cable will reduce reliability.

Capacity and Headroom

The extender handles 4K video from professional USB cameras such as Huddly, HuddleCamHD, AVer, Jabra, Logitech and Marshall models. It also carries audio, whiteboard, keyboard, flash-drive and hard-drive traffic simultaneously. Bandwidth is limited to the USB 2.0 rate, so devices requiring USB 3.x or higher throughput are not supported.
