8K action camera with Leica lens

The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 is an 8K AI-powered action camera built around a 1/1.3" sensor and a Leica Summarit lens with a F2.6 aperture. It captures 8K30fps video and 4K60fps Active HDR with 13.5 stops of dynamic range. The standard bundle includes the camera, a wind guard, one battery, a standard mount, a mic cap and a USB-C to USB-C cable.

Dual AI chip architecture over single-chip designs

A dedicated imaging chip handles noise reduction while a 5nm AI chip manages further processing, delivering 100 percent more computing power than the previous Ace Pro. The upgrade is worth it when low-light detail and high dynamic range are priorities for adventure or cinematic work. Waterproofing reaches 12 metres without a case and 60 metres with one.

Creators needing 8K resolution and Leica optics

This camera suits filmmakers and outdoor creators who want 8K30fps capture, 2.4µm equivalent pixel size and FlowState stabilization from a 6-axis gyroscope. Buyers who need more than one battery in the box or a built-in second display should look at other bundles. The single-bundle configuration limits extended sessions without extra accessories.

Questions about this item

What size filter thread does the Leica Summarit lens use?

The lens does not have a threaded filter ring; protection is handled by the included wind guard and mic cap that snap onto the mount.

Which step do owners skip when fitting the standard mount?

They often forget to lock the quick-release lever fully — the mount clicks once seated, but the lever must snap shut to prevent the camera from ejecting on impact.

How long does the 1800mAh battery last before it needs replacing?

Insta360 rates the cell for about 100 full charge cycles before capacity drops below 80 %, so plan on a fresh battery after that many charges.
