Edition Dual Battery

  • Dual 1800mAh batteries extend recording time without interruption
  • Waterproof to 39 feet without a dive case
  • 6-axis gyroscope delivers smooth, stabilized video in motion

Product and audience

The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 is an 8K action camera co-engineered with Leica and supplied in a standard bundle that includes two 1800mAh batteries, a wind guard, a standard mount, a mic cap and a USB-C to USB-C cable. It targets creators who need high-resolution capture and extended recording time in a single package.

Upgrade path

The dual AI chip design delivers 100% more computing power than the previous Ace Pro, enabling 8K30fps video, 4K60fps Active HDR and 13.5 stops of dynamic range from the 1/1.3" sensor. The jump is worthwhile when low-light detail, higher frame rates at 4K or longer sessions without battery swaps are required.

Suitability and limits

This kit suits adventure filmmakers who want waterproofing to 39 feet without a housing, or 197 feet with one, plus built-in 6-axis stabilisation for smooth handheld footage. Buyers who need internal storage, live-streaming protocols or a front-facing screen should look at alternatives that provide those features.

Questions about this item

Does the included standard mount fit the camera directly or does it need an adapter?

The standard mount in the bundle attaches directly to the camera body without a separate adapter.

How do you install the wind guard and what is the common mistake?

Slide the wind guard over the microphone port until it clicks; the common mistake is leaving it loose so wind noise still enters.

When should the 1800mAh batteries be replaced and how many are in the bundle?

Replace the two included 1800mAh batteries when they no longer hold a full charge after extended use.
