Intel DC P3500 1.2TB 2.5-inch internal SSD

Intel DC P3500 1.2TB drive

The Intel DC P3500 is a 1.2TB internal solid state drive built for server workloads. It uses a PCI-Express 3.0 x4 connection in a 2.5-inch form factor. The drive is specified for the R2208WTTYSR server platform. MLC flash memory provides consistent write endurance for mixed-use applications.

Capacity and headroom

The 1.2TB capacity handles operating system volumes, databases and virtual machine images with room for growth. Write-heavy workloads such as logging or caching will reach the endurance limits of MLC flash sooner than read-oriented tasks. The PCIe 3.0 x4 interface caps sequential throughput below newer bus generations. Buyers who need higher capacity or faster bus speeds should consider other models.
