Intel NUC 11 Extreme Gaming Desktop

This Intel NUC 11 Extreme system is a compact gaming desktop built around an 8-core Intel Core i9-11900KB processor with 24 MB cache and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.90 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of Crucial DDR4 3200 MHz memory and a 512 GB Solidigm PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. The NVIDIA RTX 3060Ti Founders Edition graphics card handles rendering in the 8-litre ITX chassis powered by a 650 W 80 Plus Gold supply. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Suits gamers wanting a small-footprint 8-core

Buyers who want more internal storage than the single 512 GB drive provides should look elsewhere. The two SO-DIMM slots limit total memory to 64 GB, so users needing larger capacity must choose a different platform. The double-wide PCIe x16 Gen4 slot accepts cards up to 12 inches, yet the compact case rules out oversized coolers or additional full-length expansion cards.

Sustained load behaviour in the 8-litre chassis

The 650 W 80 Plus Gold unit delivers steady power to the Core i9-11900KB and RTX 3060Ti during extended sessions. Thermal headroom inside the 357 x 189 x 120 mm enclosure depends on the integrated cooling solution rather than a short burst rating. Under continuous gaming or compute workloads the system balances clock speeds against temperature within the fixed airflow path of the ITX design.

Questions about this item

What power supply rating does the NUC 11 Extreme need for the RTX 3060Ti FE Card and i9-11900KB?

The system ships with a 650W 80Plus Gold unit that powers the RTX 3060Ti FE Card and the i9-11900KB without an external adapter.

Will my existing DDR4 3200MHz SO-DIMMs work alongside the installed Crucial memory?

Yes, the board accepts DDR4 3200MHz 1.2V or 1.35V SO-DIMMs; XMP must be enabled for 1.35V modules and total capacity can reach 64 GB across two slots.

How can I confirm the RTX 3060Ti FE Card is running at PCIe Gen4 x16 after setup?

Open GPU-Z or Task Manager and verify the link width shows x16 Gen4; the double-wide CPU slot is wired for PCIe 4.0 x16 and supports cards up to 12 inches.
