Intel Xeon 8570 SRN58 56-core processor

The Intel Xeon 8570 SRN58 is a 56-core server processor built on the Emerald Rapids architecture. It delivers a base frequency of 2.1 GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 4 GHz with 112 threads. This CPU targets data-centre workloads that demand high core counts and large memory capacity.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The processor is supplied as a clean-pull unit tested to OEM specifications with minor cosmetic signs of prior use. No cooling solution is included in the package. System integrators must provide adequate airflow and a compatible heatsink for the LGA4677 socket to maintain thermal limits.

LGA4677 socket compatibility

This processor fits only motherboards equipped with an LGA4677 socket and supporting the Emerald Rapids platform. Buyers needing a different socket or a lower core count should select another part. The package contains the CPU only.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Xeon 8570 SRN58 into an LGA4677 socket without bending pins?

Align the triangle marker on the processor with the socket key, lower it straight down without force, then engage the retention lever fully; the most common error is tilting the chip while seating it.

Will the thermal interface on the Xeon 8570 SRN58 need replacement after extended operation?

The clean-pull unit ships with original thermal material intact; plan to apply fresh paste whenever the cooler is removed or if temperatures rise above normal under sustained load.

At what point does the 3.40 GHz base frequency become the limiting factor during continuous all-core workloads?

With 56 cores and 112 threads, the processor will hold 3.40 GHz until the cooling solution reaches its thermal capacity, after which frequencies drop to stay within power limits.
