Doubles PoE range to 200 m while powering two devices with up to 30 W each from a single 60 W input
The Intellinet 2-Port Gigabit Ultra PoE Extender adds up to 100 m to a PoE connection, doubling the total distance between source and device to 200 m. It connects and powers two PoE devices such as network cameras, wireless access points or VoIP phones from a single PoE injector or switch PSE port. The unit draws its operating power from the PoE input, removing the need for a separate power supply or AC wiring. It supports 10/100/1000 Mbps data rates over Cat5e or Cat6 cable.
The extender operates without an external power adapter, drawing energy directly from the incoming PoE++ feed. A metal housing provides shielding and includes a grounding point to protect connected equipment from external electrical surges. Built-in short-circuit, overload and high-voltage protection safeguards the unit and attached devices during normal operation. PoE awareness ensures power is only sent to IEEE 802.3at/af-compliant devices, while non-PoE devices receive data only.
The extender delivers a total PoE power budget of 60 W, providing up to 30 W per PSE output port continuously. It maintains Gigabit data throughput and power delivery across the full 100 m cable runs on both input and output sides. IEEE 802.3bt (4PPoE) compliance ensures stable power negotiation under sustained load without relying on short-term burst capacity. The design supports continuous operation for devices such as IP cameras and access points that draw steady power throughout the day.

Connect the PoE source to the input port, then link each output device to the two PSE ports; the step often missed is verifying the source delivers 60 W over 4PPoE so both ports can supply 30 W each.
The metal-housed unit has no moving parts or filters; just inspect the grounding point and cable terminations periodically for corrosion or loose connections after surges.
The 60 W total PoE budget caps combined output at 30 W per port; sustained loads beyond that trigger overload protection and shut down the affected port.
