Cat6 UTP patch cable for short runs

This green Cat6 UTP cable measures 0.6 m and terminates in RJ45 male connectors at both ends. It is designed for 10, 100 and 1000BASE-T networks and suits home or office links between a switch, router, modem or patch panel.

Verify port type and required reach

Confirm that both endpoints present standard RJ45 ports and that the 0.6 m length spans the gap without tension. The cable is unshielded, so avoid routing it parallel to power cables or fluorescent ballasts where interference could degrade the signal.

Stable throughput over extended transfers

Gold-plated contacts and a moulded strain-relief boot maintain consistent conductivity during long file moves or continuous streaming. The PVC jacket resists kinking, helping the link hold negotiated 1000BASE-T rates without retraining.

Questions about this item

Does the 0.6 m Cat6 cable arrive with anything else in the box or do I need to buy connectors separately?

The cable is supplied as a single patch lead with RJ45 male plugs already fitted on both ends; no extra connectors or accessories are required.

Should I choose a different length or colour for a short rack-to-switch run?

This specific item is the 0.6 m (2 ft) green version; other lengths or colours would be separate products.

What does the Cat6 rating mean for actual 1000BASE-T throughput on this 0.6 m lead?

The Cat6 construction supports full gigabit speeds up to 1000 Mbps with gold-plated contacts and snag-free boots to maintain reliable performance.
