Ten-pack Cat8.1 patch cables for dense racks

This ten-pack supplies seven-foot Cat8.1 U/FTP patch cables terminated with RJ45 connectors on both ends. The cables are rated for 40 Gbps at frequencies up to 2 GHz and meet ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173-1 Class I requirements. They are built with 100 % bare copper conductors and 30 AWG stranded wire for flexibility in tight cabinet spaces.

Bandwidth ceiling and shielding limits

The U/FTP construction places aluminium foil around each twisted pair, supporting the 2000 MHz bandwidth ceiling defined for Cat8.1 Class I links. Shielding is effective only when both ends connect to properly grounded equipment; ungrounded ports or mixed-category patch panels will reduce the realised margin. The standard limits channel length to 30 metres, so these seven-foot segments consume a small fraction of the total budget.

Slim stranded build with snag-free boots

A reduced outer diameter improves airflow and eases routing around corners in high-density racks. Stranded 30 AWG conductors increase bend tolerance compared with solid-core cable, while snag-free boots protect the latch during frequent moves. Gold-plated contacts rated at 50 micro-inches resist corrosion across repeated PoE++ cycles up to IEEE 802.3bt power levels.
