Power Delivery

The Intellinet 561495-UK is a Gigabit PoE++ injector that supplies up to 95 watts over a single Ethernet cable. It targets installers who need to power high-draw devices such as motorised IP cameras, lighting controllers or nurse-call systems without running separate mains wiring.

IEEE 802.3bt Compliance

The unit follows the IEEE 802.3bt (4PPoE) standard using all four twisted pairs, while remaining backward compatible with IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3af equipment. This single specification decides whether the injector can support 95-watt loads or only lower-power gear.

Build Integration

The injector connects between a non-PoE switch and a powered device over Cat5 or Cat5e cable up to 100 metres. Its internal power supply and fanless design allow silent wall-mount installation, and LED indicators show power, data and PoE status at a glance. It does not suit buyers who need multi-port PoE switching or fibre uplinks.

Questions about this item

What does the 95 W rating mean for a device connected to this injector?

It delivers up to 95 watts over all four cable pairs so a single PoE++ device such as a motorised IP camera or lighting controller can run without a local power supply.

How does the IEEE 802.3bt interface affect the maximum cable run?

The injector supports the standard 100 m (328 ft) distance on Cat5 or Cat5e cabling while negotiating 10, 100 or 1000 Mbit/s speeds.

What mounting options does the plastic housing provide?

The unit includes a wall-mount option and an internal power supply in a fanless design for silent operation.
