Outdoor Vandalproof PoE++ Injector 60 W

The Intellinet 561785 supplies up to 60 watts over a single Gigabit Ethernet cable to IEEE 802.3bt, at and af compliant devices such as IP cameras or wireless access points. Its IP67-rated metal housing resists dust and water, while IK10 certification protects against physical impact in exposed locations.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The injector operates continuously from -40 to 75 °C (-40 to 167 °F) without derating the 60 W output. Built-in short-circuit, overload and high-voltage protection guards both the unit and connected equipment during prolonged operation. Auto-sensing PoE awareness ensures power is delivered only to compliant devices, preventing damage to non-PoE gear.

Installation And Common Issues

A single Ethernet run up to 328 ft carries both data and power, removing the need for local mains wiring at the device end. The rugged housing mounts directly on walls or poles in harsh environments. Installers must verify that the powered device supports IEEE 802.3bt 4PPoE to draw the full 60 W; older 802.3at or af equipment will negotiate lower power levels.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 60 W PoE++ injector produce when running continuously outdoors?

The metal housing is rated for -40 to 75 °C operation, so it dissipates heat passively across that full range without active cooling.

What cabling and power source must I already have to use the single 60 W port?

You need a standard Ethernet cable up to 328 ft and a mains supply for the injector itself; the port then delivers both data and up to 60 W to the connected device.

Will an 802.3af camera drawing 30 W work safely on the same 60 W port?

Yes, auto-sensing PoE awareness supplies power only to IEEE 802.3bt, at or af compliant devices, so an 802.3af camera receives exactly what it negotiates.
