10-32 cage nut kit

The Intellinet Network Solutions 715171 set supplies fifty cage nuts with matching screws and washers in a single jar. It is designed for mounting equipment into standard server racks and cabinets. The cross-head screws allow quick installation with a common Phillips driver. The kit is new and covered by a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer.

Installers and data-centre staff

Technicians who need a ready supply of 10-32 hardware for rack builds will find the jar convenient. Teams working with metric-threaded rails or square-hole racks that do not accept cage nuts should look at alternative fastening methods.

50-piece count

The package contains exactly fifty cage nuts, fifty screws and fifty washers. This quantity determines whether one jar covers the current installation or if additional sets are required.

Questions about this item

Will the Phillips-head screws in the 715171 set need periodic re-tightening under vibration?

The cross-head screws are designed for a secure fit in 10-32 cage nuts; re-tightening is only necessary if the rack itself shifts or equipment is moved.

What is the first limit reached when installing all 50 cage nuts in a high-density cabinet?

The set contains exactly 50 cage nuts, screws and washers, so the quantity of fasteners is the limiting factor for a single deployment.

Do the metal cage nuts and screws generate noticeable heat or noise when the rack runs continuously?

These are passive metal fasteners with no moving parts or electrical draw, so they produce zero heat and zero audible noise during operation.
