19" 6U Wall Mount Open Frame Rack

The Intellinet Network Solutions 716178 is a 19-inch, 6U two-post open frame rack designed for wall mounting in network areas with limited floor space. It suits installers who need easy equipment access from all sides and maximum airflow for heat dissipation. The hinged swing frame opens frontward for even simpler panel access. This unit is not for buyers who require a lockable cabinet or a four-post enclosed rack for heavier equipment.

Thermals airflow and structural load

The open frame construction provides unrestricted airflow around mounted devices for efficient heat dissipation without integrated fans. The cold-rolled SPCC steel frame with antistatic powder coating supports a maximum load capacity of 30 kg (66 lbs) with the frame closed. When the hinged frame is swung open, the capacity reduces to 10 kg (22 lbs). Integrity and security bars add stability and resist tampering during normal operation.

450 mm depth and 6U capacity

The rack offers a usable depth of 450 mm (17.7 in) and accommodates standard 19-inch equipment up to 6U in height. Two front-mounting rails and a reversible swing frame allow flexible installation. Wall-mounting hardware is not included, so installers must supply appropriate fixings for the mounting surface. The flat-pack delivery requires assembly before use.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 6U rack to the wall and what step is commonly missed?

Secure the rack to wall studs or masonry using appropriate lag bolts or anchors — wall-mounting hardware is not included — then verify the frame swings freely before loading equipment.

What maintenance or replacement will this rack need over time?

The cold-rolled SPCC steel frame with antistatic powder coating requires no scheduled maintenance; only inspect mounting bolts and hinge screws periodically for tightness.

What load limit is reached first when the hinged frame is swung open?

Capacity drops to 10 kg (22 lbs) with the frame open, so that limit governs before the 30 kg (66 lbs) closed-frame rating.
