Replacing standard-diameter Cat6 or older Cat5e patch cords with these slim versions frees space in high-density panels and improves airflow around active gear. The jump is worth it when cable trays are full, when PoE++ devices demand pure copper conductors, or when frequent repatching risks breaking standard boots. They keep the same 250 MHz / 10G rating while cutting bulk.

250 MHz headroom for 10G and PoE++

At 250 MHz the cables handle 10 Gbps Ethernet and all PoE classes up to IEEE 802.3bt / 4PPoE / Ultra PoE without voltage drop from copper-clad aluminium. The 30 AWG gauge gives ample margin for 7 ft runs but reaches its limit on longer channels or in high-temperature bundles where insertion loss grows. Beyond that length or heat budget a thicker gauge is required.
