Molded snag-free boots protect the RJ45 tabs during routing through walls, conduit or cable trays. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain low resistance over time. The flexible PVC sheath bends without kinking, but the cable is unshielded, so keep it away from strong EMI sources such as fluorescent ballasts or motor windings.

Cat6 UTP distance and interference limits

Cat6 UTP supports 1000BASE-T up to 100 m, so the 22.5 m length leaves ample margin for patch-panel runs. For 10 GBASE-T the same standard limits UTP to shorter channels that this cable does not guarantee.
