This 20 metre duplex patch cable connects LC and SC UPC connectors using OM3 multimode fiber with a 50/125 µm core. UPC Connectors and Bend-Insensitive Fiber

Ultra Physical Contact polish on both ends improves return loss compared with standard PC finishes. Bend-insensitive multimode fiber reduces attenuation when the cable is routed around tight corners or through dense trays. Each unit ships with its own factory test report confirming insertion loss and return loss figures.

OM3 Distance Limits at High Speeds

OM3 multimode fiber supports 10 G Ethernet over its full length and is optimised for 40 G and 100 G Ethernet within data centre reach. At 40 G and 100 G the practical link distance is shorter than at 10 G, so very long runs may require single-mode cable instead. The OFNR jacket rating covers riser installations but not plenum spaces.
