Two computers share one USB 2.0 printer or device with automatic switching and a manual button, no software needed
The IOGEAR GUB231 lets two computers share a single USB printer or multifunction device. It connects each PC via a USB Type B port and the printer through one USB Type A port. The switch draws power from the USB bus so no external adapter is needed.
Users who want automatic switching when a print job is sent will benefit. A front button also allows manual selection between the two connected computers. Buyers needing to share a device among more than two systems should consider a switch with additional ports.
Because the unit is bus powered it remains active as long as at least one host computer is on. LED indicators show which port is online or locked so users can verify the active connection at a glance. No software installation is required for sustained use.
