NIAP PP4.0 certified remote port selector with six-foot cable and tamper-proof hardware for secure KVM switching
The IOGEAR GXRMSW01 is a TAA-compliant remote port selector designed for secure KVM environments. It provides physical switching control for operators managing multiple classified or sensitive systems. The device targets government, defence and regulated-enterprise users who require NIAP Protection Profile 4.0 assurance.
The unit draws power directly from the attached secure KVM through its built-in six-foot cable, adding no separate power supply or fan noise. Auto-detection identifies the connected PP4.0 KVM model instantly, and front-panel LEDs give real-time port-status feedback. Tamper-evident seals and active chassis-intrusion detection protect the hardware integrity.
This selector replaces the need to reach the KVM chassis for port changes, suiting rack or under-desk installations where the switch is out of easy reach. The upgrade is worthwhile when operators need immediate, authenticated switching without leaving their workstation. It is not suited for environments that do not mandate NIAP PP4.0 certification.

Connect the 6ft cable to the compatible PP4.0 secure KVM and the selector auto-detects the model. The step users miss is verifying the tamper-evident seals are intact before first use.
The active chassis intrusion detection and tamper-evident seals are permanent hardware features. If a seal is broken or intrusion is detected, the selector must be replaced as it cannot be reset.
The active tamper-proof hardware continuously monitors the chassis. A detected intrusion event immediately disables the selector, which is the operational limit under sustained use.
