Multi-Function Desktop Soundbar

The ION R80 is a USB-powered soundbar that integrates an LCD clock and five-colour LED mood lighting. It delivers 10 W total output from two 5 W full-range drivers with a 60 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response. The unit measures 2.4 x 3.96 x 1.3 in and draws power from any USB port.

USB and Bluetooth Audio

It suits users who want a single compact bar for PC, laptop, tablet or phone audio with both wired USB and wireless Bluetooth options. It does not suit buyers who need a separate stereo pair or a system with a dedicated subwoofer.

USB Power and Audio Input

The speaker requires a USB connection for power and audio in USB mode, while Bluetooth mode also needs USB power. This single-cable requirement decides whether the R80 fits the available ports on your desk.

Questions about this item

How loud does 10 watts actually sound on a desk?

Two 5 W full-range drivers deliver clear, room-filling audio for music, movies and games at typical desktop listening distances.

What does the single USB connection handle?

The USB port provides both power and the audio signal, so the soundbar works plug-and-play with PCs, laptops, tablets and phones without extra cables or drivers.

Will the 2.4 × 3.96 × 1.3 in cabinet fit under my monitor?

The slim 1.3 in depth and 2.4 in height leave plenty of clearance for most monitor stands, while the 3.96 in width spans neatly across a typical desk.
